This past weekend, a Prusa-i3 3D Printer Kit arrived at JMoon MakerSpace, from Forgify 3D Labs, for testing. The kit included the already assembled mechanical parts along with 3 Arduino Mega clones, 6 RAMPS boards and a bunch of stepper drivers that needed to be tested to find out which of the combinations would work, as some of them were faulty.
The RAMPS and Mega combinations were successfully tested by the excited team from JMoon L.A.B.S., some of whom had not yet seen a 3D printer live in action, since our own 3D printer isn’t scheduled to arrive till the workshop on 5th April. We showed the Forgify Team how to do this testing for future printers that they build.
The Prusa i3 is to be installed at NIT Kurukshetra as part of a final year project by students there. You can buy your own Prusa i3 Kit from RoboRium.com
