Good news for bikers in India who like to take their bicycles out at night. We, at JMoon MakerSpace, recently made this biker’s helmet light up!

Made for Kunal Kathpal by our resident maker and soldering wizard, Ganeev Singh, the helmet has LEDs on the left, right and back-center to help bikers give navigation clues to other vehicles and pedestrians at night.

We’ve perfected Version-1 of the helmet. So send your helmets to JMoon MakerSpace and we’ll pimp them out too!

Tech Specs:
The helmet has wireless control via an indicator switch that is used to control the left-right indicators (yellow) and the back indicator (red).
It can run continuously for approximately 9 hours on a Duracell 9V battery. On cheaper 9V batteries (worth Rs. 30 approx.) it can run for about an hour.

Here’s some work-in-progress photos and a video of the helmet being tested on road by Kunal Kathpal.
